Developments Underway

The procurement process for the appointment of service providers (crime prevention and public safety as well as top-up cleaning services) commenced on 3 April 2020. The closing date for the submission of proposals is 30 April 2020. This will be followed by a vendor-evaluation process. We are aiming to complete the adjudication process by 31 May 2020. Appointed vendors will commence service delivery on 1 July 2020.

The HPP-manager vacancy was advertised. The shortlist will be finalised by 30 April 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a panel via a digital platform. An appointment will be made by 1 June 2020.

We are in discussions with the Overstrand Municipality (OM) to finalise the MOI (Memorandum of Incorporation) and the FA (Finance Agreement). The adoption of any changes to the HPP-MOI will be subject to a voting member resolution.

The design of a new communication platform (website, Facebook-page, newsletter template, etc.) is underway. This platform will be activated by mid-June 2020.

We are also in the process of merging the HPP- and HSRA-databases into a single database. The latter will avoid the duplication of e-mail and WhatsApp-messages coming to you from different sources. Please bear with us for a few more weeks. Communication via a single database will commence from mid-June 2020.

The election of a new HPP-Board of Directors will happen during the second half of June 2020. Since lockdown regulations are likely to be in place, this election process will in all probability happen via a virtual platform. We shall inform you timeously.

Final Call for Voluntary Financial Support (details available at www.hppsecurity.co.za)

Property owners within the demarcated HPP-area will commence paying a special rate (linked to property valuations) as from 1 July 2020.

During the interim, FADT (Fidelity ADT) will continue to provide scaled-down services to HPP, the cost of which is funded through ongoing voluntary contributions.

We appeal to property owners to consider making voluntary contributions during the months of May and June.

If you have signed a stop order (in favour of HPP) with your bank, please remember to cancel this stop order (with the month of June being your last payment).
